CBIA's 7th international conference on competitive intelligence is scheduled to take place in Johannesburg during September 2008.

The purpose of the conference is to provide high quality education and a networking opportunity for CI practitioners and those interested in CI in Southern Africa. The keynote speakers are well known international CI personalities.

We are looking for Southern African practitioners and speakers who are interested to present at the conference. We would like you to share your experience and knowledge. It is going to be a top CI event. Presentations may be designed for any level of experience, from fundamental to intermediate to advanced topics.

Preferences will be given to presentations that focus on current and emerging issues, best practices, challenges facing CI practitioners and presentations with a practical element. If you would like to take part in the three day event as a speaker please let us have your proposed topic and outline by 20 March 2008 for consideration. Please send your mail to training coordinator at training@cbia.co.za

CBIA started in 2007 to offer training to government departments and employees. These workshops are specifically tailored to provide government employees with a broad understanding of developments in the modern world. Many in sensitive positions have misconceptions about the value of the information they handle and many do not have a proper understanding of their roles and responsibilities in this regard.

These exclusive workshops are presented in the main centres and in-house at departments. More than 200 government employees attended these workshops during 2007. If you require more information or a programme, please e-mail the CBIA training co-ordinator at training@cbia.co.za
