Ballet Mosaic - a tapestry of dance

1 - 4 October 2008
Baxter Theatre, Cape Town

CAPE TOWN CITY BALLET announces the return of the extremely popular Ballet Mosaic. This programme features extracts from the second act of Spartacus, set in the smouldering confines of a desert tent, enabling audiences to experience the excitement of Veronica Paeper's demanding and imaginative choreography.

Also on the programme is the pas de deux from Sheherazade, danced by CTCB's principal, Megan Swart, and scenes from the second act of Raymonda, featuring Laura Bosenberg - all with the emphasis on seduction, intrigue and allure.

Enjoy the music of Rimsky-Korsakov, Khachaturian, Minkus and other composers while you witness balletic entertainment at its athletic best from the dancers of the Cape Town City Ballet and the Dance for All Youth Company.
